Krueger, Geraldine #2 (5 JUN 1954)
The Evangelical Lutheran Church, Curtiss, was the setting for the marriage of Miss Geraldine Erma Krueger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krueger of Curtiss, and Milford Ernest Leffel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Leffel, Colby, who exchanged their vows before the Rev. M. F. Egge at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz-length strapless gown with scalloped lace panels in the skirt. The matching lace jacket was topped with Peter Pan collar. A matching headpiece held her fingertip veil and she carried red roses and white carnations.
Miss Arlene Krueger, Milwaukee, was her sister’s maid of honor. Another sister of the bride, Miss Patricia Krueger, and a sister of the groom, Miss Bernadine Leffel, both of Curtiss, were bridesmaids. Leo Leffel, Colby, a brother of the groom, was best man and Melvin Leffel, Colby, and Frederick Krueger, Curtiss, were groomsmen. Performing the ushering duties were Sli Krueger, Marshfield and Kenneth Baumgartner, Milwaukee.
The bride’s small sister, Pamela Kruger, was flower girl and Keith Weller, Abbotsford, the bride’s cousin, was ring bearer.
Identically styled blue waltz-length formal sand matching headpieces were worn by the bridal aides. Bouquets of pink, white and yellow carnations were carried by the three attendants.
Navy blue dresses were worn by both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom, whose corsages were of pink tea roses and white carnations.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents with a dinner served in the dining hall of the church. Out of town guests were present from Milwaukee, Edgar, Wausau, Baraboo, Marshfield, Medford, Cumberland, Rice Lake and cities in Michigan and Minnesota.
The young couple will reside on a farm near Edgar where the groom is engaged in farming. The bride was a member of the 1954 graduating class of Colby High School.
